Andrew Yendall, co-founder and a Managing Director with Yendall Hunter, brings over 35 years of experience in the construction and engineering sectors, with more than 25 years of experience in construction and engineering related disputes, serving in both advisory and expert witness-related roles, focusing on the assessment of the critical path, extent and causes of delay and disruption to capital projects.
Andrew has worked on projects across the globe, preparing forensic delay analyses for both private and public sector clients, including governments, owners, contractors, subcontractors and consultants in the engineering and construction fields, working under a variety of contractual arrangements.
Andrew has been appointed as an independent expert in relation delay and disruption issues on over 150 occasions in litigation, domestic and international arbitrations, DABs, adjudications and expert determinations. He brings expertise in the analysis of troubled projects across a wide variety of sectors including oil and gas, gas storage facilities, LNG and associated facilities, retail, residential and commercial building development and refurbishment, infrastructure projects, power plants, shipbuilding and offshore construction, telecoms and defence projects. He has given evidence before arbitral tribunals (including ICC, LCIA, LMAA, DIAC) on over 50 occasions.
Andrew has been involved in the contemporary project review of programme and cost on a wide variety of projects, advising on procurement and programme issues on a consultancy basis.
Prior to co-founding Yendall Hunter in 2015, Andrew was a partner at Alvarez & Marsal for six years co-heading the international Construction Disputes & Advisory practice with Martin Hunter. Before that Andrew was a Managing Director with Navigant Consulting in London and a director in the Construction Disputes team at PwC.
Previously, Andrew spent seven years working for a construction company. Andrew is a Chartered Surveyor by profession. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Surveying (1993) and a Master’s Degree in Construction Law and Arbitration (1997). He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a Member of the Academy of Experts.
